Hmmm, not sure, maybe this should be in the military section, or the boats, or?? It actually still needs some numbers but since I'd need to gloss and then matte it it might be a while. I'm also forgetting it was originally a Dick Dastardly race car designed to take out other racers. The depth charges would work, sort of, but there is a real problem with the torpedoes not motating properly on dry land. Methinks the driver, excuse me, Captain, would probably drive right over the freshly launched torpedo with a boom. Should I weather the exhausts a little and should I add 2 more propellers on back?

Cool subject :smiling3:  I think adding race numbers would really help; I thought it was just bare, grey plastic at first until I understood the naval theme.

Thanks for all the great comments everybody! For sure now I think it's incomplete without the numbers and maybe a flag on the mast.

It was fun building it. The car is an AMT 1966 Ford Thunderbird. The kit is great: it comes with an extra custom bonnet and grille. I slid the windscreen back and used both bonnets and the rear seat of the interior.

The PT boat parts are from a 1/72 scale Revell PT 109.
