Here's my entry in the helicopter GB:

Not a bad kit - no real fit issues, but quite a few sink marks needed filling. One or two mistakes in the instructions, but easy enough to sort out. Decal callouts were a bit vague, and there weren't enough of some repeated decals to comply with the callout, so some of the decal numbering must be wrong. Getting the colour-coding to wrap around the rotor blades was a struggle, so I cut a couple of them.
Paint is Ammo Mig, freehand. Paints are now in the bin.

Now, what to build next? I fancy something in a larger scale - maybe some armour - few decals, and no canopy masking!

That's a great build. I have the same kit but with German markings and optics on the front instead of the 30m cannon

Thanks Alex. I thought the French version would be a little more unusual, plus I used to work for a French company for 25 years. How did you find the kit?

I liked it and thought it was fun to build. It was also my first helicopter build. Here it is below:

Hi Tony, the green (from a NATO set) went on very blotchy and rough. First time I thinned it with Vallejo thinner and it didn't dry, still tacky after 3 - 4 days, so I cleaned it off with IPA and tried again thinned with watere, which was a bit better but although dry it didn't feel hard. The brown just wouldn't flow well whatever I tried, so is a bit uneven. The black was OK except for a lot of tip drying, understandable in the weather we've had. I resprayed the main rotor with Vallejo, which was fine. Spoke to a chap in the LMS who had the same problems with Ammo.

Thanks Steve, it's amazing how much better it looks with the matt coat on! It looked really patchy before, but the Galeria matt worked its usual magic. I wonder how good the Galeria gloss is?
