I hope to see more of this too. I built a really small Gato sub (Sea Monkey) with a lot of molded on detail and perusing your build here answered a lotta questions I had about these subs I couldn't find answers to anywhere. Thanks!

Finally got some mojo back, but with it comes a serious rethink.

Large model submarine, very small car. Hmmm! this isn't going to work.

Out comes the fine razor saw & electric multi tool.

I have decided to section the hull into three separate parts, bow/centre/stern to be connected using very strong magnets.

Having used magnets on my previous build (S100 Schnellboot) I know just how strong a connection can be made.

Hopefully the photo's will be self explanatory.

As the main hull is still not cemented together, it has made realigning the gear box intermediate shafts a lot easier.

The gearbox needed to be lifted quite a lot as in the photo's.

Great work on getting this all together Greg, really like how youve done up the prop shafts.

As with all my builds, on hold at the moment as life has just seemed to get in the way recently.
Made a bit of progress on my Corvette as and when I get the time.
Hopefully back soon.
