been working on this for a few months now,and while it is nowhere near the standard that some of you guys are putting out, i am quite proud of it. it is approx 900x600mm and i have realised that this is just too big for my limited space.i dont go for technical accuraccy yet so please dont tell me the colours for the uniforms are wrong, that will come with time.all other cock ups are welcome to be commented on :smiling3: pictures are only mobile phone so sorry about the quality

Hi andrew, i know the pics are a bit blurred but that looks fantastic to me!! Superb work , especially the shading on the concrete HAS. Tell me is it all in the box or have you added the trees ,sheep ,ground vehicles etc. You should be well proud mate, you can tell how much time and effort has gone into this , its brilliant! cheers tony

thanks mate, in the box was the shelter, typhoon and ground support vehicles, as well as a ground plate which was about half the size of the whole thing in three sections .the rest was made from plaster and polyfiller.all figures trees and fences ect were purcheased separatly apart from the picnic table and chain link fence and jetty which i made myself out of balsa.

As the others have said from what can be seen in the rather fuzzy photos it looks really good and I dont think you should be worrying that much.

I think we would all like to see some better pictures though to see just how good this is, if ever you get the chance.

Very well thought out with plenty to lead your eye around. Just the fact that it is in 1/72 is amazing enough. I could not do it half as good in that scale.

Yup gotta agree with the chaps here, excellent work - just switch the camera in Macro mode so it can focus on the stuff close to the camera...

I like the paving stones of the strip and the farmer mending the fence - its great to have some humanity in these dioramas :smiling3:

HI Andrew

Nice job mate, I really enjoyed studying this dio!

You don't see too many modern jet dios so this is something a bit different. There's plenty going on in it too not simply a background for your Typhoon.

It looks great and you should be justifiably proud, I would be.

Cheers

Paul

Nice build Andrew, just love looking at the photos. It was when i got to the sheep doing the Great Escape, nice little touch that made me laugh. The wife looked at me funny but hey, five star build.

Have fun, John

Too good, very impressed indeed, I've never awarded a 5* on here before so now's a good time to start I reckon! Well done!

I don't know how you guys have the stamina for these dios though, by the time I've got a plane finished I'm about sapped of energy to do anything else let alone put it into a as detailed a setting as what you've achieved here. Nice work :smiling:

thanks, i think the set is out of production now (but not sure), it came up on e-bay a while back and i just had to have it, think i paid a little over the odds for it as i had never seen one before and have not seen it since.
