Sorry mate , typo, :smiling2: but changed now(. Like that we can do that ).
Compost looks good , nice a gritty, thus allowing good drainage . Don't over water with that Puppet :surprised: a mere spot of water around the the base will do for a couple of days .
John.

Tales from the green house.
Ivan Thrower here , and a good morning .
Today I have potted on 8 of the young plants as they are certainly bigger enough and growing the 2 set of leaves.
I have potted 4 into pots that were first given a light watering, the next , the next 2 pots of 2 have had water put in from the bottom only.
Just want to see if this will show any difference.

Will check later to see if the two pots on the center and right of the photo has survived.

For those sharp eyed followers ( RON ) those plants in the out side of the green house are not what you might think .:tongue-out3:

A little tricky to photograph as they are very small....but they are on the go now!

Talking garden....strawberries are developing nicely

Nice Si, do you get much slug /snail damage on them. We had to grow ours last year in the green house in one of those three tiered tubs .
Your compost looks nice and sharp. As I' ve said watch the watering dry is better than damp.

John,
Compost is 50/50 potting compost and washed sharp sand.
Don’t see many slugs or snails on the strawberry’s but the wood lice love em!
Si!

Hi John, a friend of mine just gave me a bag of cricket poo collected from his cricket farm to fertilse my plants as a try out. His crickets are organic and are not fed with homones or antibiotics. They meet with EU standards.

I thought since we're on the subject of plants I should mention it. I'll let you know if it turns out good for the plants.

Cheers,
Richard

Ivan Thrower here.
Richard, nice of you to pop in, cricket farms , wow :flushed: really. ?
Jim , think Richards been on the thinners again .
Plants looking strong, I'd leave them about a week , but it won't hurt if you have potted them on . About 2 to 3 in a 3 inch pot, plenty of grit, they may flop, don't worry , some water in the base of saucer, then a few drops around the plants them selves . They should look terrible the first day, ! But on the second they will start to pick up . If your still growing them on the window sill start to turn them daily and keep the compost mix dryish , watering from the base only .

Ivan .
