A simple theme to get us all thinking a bit.

All the stuff left abandoned when hostilities ceased would have been used for other purposes by civilians..Tanks used as playgrounds! Pill boxes as dens.....The list is endless. We've all seen pictures of this sort of thing and might make for a few nice vinegarettes!

yes, but let's keep the ideas to ourselves, otherwise it might spoil the fun should the suggestion be adopted.... ;)  Gotta keep peeps on their toes.

Naughty boy Patrick, but we have to keep the punters guessing.

My post did come across a bit blunt, didn't it? Sorry from me too!

No worries Ron, I just had that picture to hand & thought it might set people's imaginations going. If someone uses it as inspiration, that's fine by me.

It's a very evocative picture, for sure, and shows the futility of war. The two children sort of playing and passing a burned out tank, which might still contain human remains........

Just asking, but would that include things like fighter aircraft used for air races? I'm sure I've also seen a DUKW that's used for pleasure trips. I'll bet there were quite a few landing craft used as ferries too ...... or am I misinterpreting?

Anything goes Dave- as long as it was originally used for war like purposes, during a war - any war!
