Shame about the suspension unit. I was following this build with interest and enjoying watching it come together. Could you get another unit? Would be a pity not to finish it after all the work you've done.

looks like, i'll have to get another kit just for one part really, as tamiya do not sell one part on it's own as it is not worth it, so that's why they sell as kit parts which I do not need. Where other companies send only the part you need and not the whole section of one area. airfix send only the part you need for free not the rest, revell same as airfix why not tamiya. as we buy tamiya kits from ie ebay, amazon, Scale Model Shop, high street model shops exctra.

Can't you fix it by drilling inserting a pin then joining the bits together with superglue

As Ken says, this is an easy fix! Don't throw in the towel.

I'll try and repair it but don't hold your breath on holding in place. I wish they put the, suspension together for you, that easy it saves time and do not break as the spring is quit stiff and hard to hold up with one hand whilst trying, to put the clip in place to hold, the spring in place.

I can only see two bits there Jim, you need to be gentle with your models Jim, you caress the parts gently, lovingly coaxing them into place with gentle stroking. You don't just ram em together, show your models some love Jim
