Thanks chaps for your great comments on my build......

Well here it is, finally finished!

A leading element of American armoured infantry has arrived at what looks like a deserted village. They advance onto the bridge. They can't see the German PAK40 waiting.."Wait 'till he's on the bridge."

I've had a great time building this and learned so much on the way...Complete rethinks, mistakes, Boddingtons, alterations, add-ons galore, all great fun...Particularily the brilliant and flattering posts from the great people on here.

I'm afraid I've been snap happy and took far too many pictures, so I've condensed them down to these to give a fair selection......36!! Sorry for the overload....I intend doing a nice surround for the base sometime - I should have done it first me thinks!!

I hope you like my my final choice and any questions or suggestions for additions, alterations ect. are more than welcome.

Thanks for sticking with it. Apologies for so many pictures - and the mug shot!

Cheers,

Ron

Stunning mate , simply stunning! Its been a real pleasure watching this come to life and evolve into what we see here. Every single element is brilliant , I especially love the wrecked building , (and the colour pic with the sun coming through the broken window is my fave) and the attention to detail of the canal and lock. Im almost sad though because the beautiful bridge youve made is going to have the crap blown out of it any second by the germans hiding in the corner with the 88mm !!!! Its a pity i cant give more than 5 stars but here they are anyway , the start of a big pile I reckon! Cheers matey tony

Thanks boys, I'm chuffed you like the finished product - no trace of horse meat either!!

It's a bit building heavy I know, but there's only so many shots of the military side I could take before it started to get a bit repetitious.

Thanks again for you excellent comments.

That is truly amazing young Ron! You have out done yourself this time. How are you ever going to follow that?

I can only suggest that you get to the library and of the interweb and start learning how to make resin casts. I kid you not you could make a small fortune selling these. Either as whole sets or single buildings. They are simply fantastic. As far as I know there are no real choices when it comes to things like that it 1/72 scale.

A great end result to a great build. A heap of stars to the collection.

It's all been said Ron, love photo's 20 and 26, looks real with the sun shining on the buildings and cross. Beats me where you get your inspiration from not to mention bringing all those modelling skills together. 5 Star +++. Cheers Derek

Thanks David and ole for your excellent comments. I'm glad you like the diorama....

ole, it was great to share the build with my friends on here, and if someone has picked up a trick / tip or two on the way, then that's even better.

Cheers,

Ron
