Got a little bit of time on the bench during the week.







Fit was pretty good all round though I did run some dissolved putty around the edges. I lost one of the clear periscope ports to the carpet monster and it just didn't want to come back.

Nice work Ross sorry to hear the carpet monster ate your periscope glass. But you could just put some crystal clear across the gap, once dry it should look like class.

Ian, yes I could do that but that leaves a little problem, as you will see.

A slight problem has raised it's head, I've run out of CA glue, so I will have to order some in. So I've jumped ahead in the instructions to do what I can bypassing the PE sections.

Put together the turret.



Given the periscopes a blast of Alclad Armoured Glass.



While I wait for the glue to come in, I'll prime and paint what I can.

It is quite a beast. The red & white striped guards were "required" when traveling on civilian roads. Suspension looks fine after all the difficulties. Looks to be a newer version w/late electronics. The NATO camo sure makes it look the business. Some in KFOR use were fitted with a rear driver position flexible MG. PaulE

Ian, thanks mate but I've never been happy with any of the 3 colour Camo's I've done, even on planes. Still this is ok. I will have to build more :smirk:

Paul, it is a beast but looks so strange with the tiny little turret. I thought I read that all had the rear driver position, this one has the option of MG on turret or rear driver position, I'm going for the turret obviously.

Only about 25 decals for the body, mostly taken up by the wheel pressure and only 2 for the turret when I get there.

Yes, all versions had the rear driver position, but not all versions had the MG mounting hardware affixed to it. PaulE

CA has finally turned up, so I can finish off the turret. In the meantime, I've added the wheels and started on some weathering.













The next few steps of weathering should bring it all together.
