Great stuff!

I too have had one of these in my cupboard for far too long. I might be building it soon as I've run out of any other options, not being one for holding a stash :smiling3:

Anyway, I hope to take inspiration from your example and will be following your excellent progress.

Cheers

Excellent progress coming from you Steve I'm flattered

I have never built such a complex kit as this magnets bolts and pins it seems like I'm doing 2 hours Web search for

1/2 an hours build so many variants on the same mark what I don't want to do is something screamingly wrong :smiling3:

Roger

PS I like your push pull thing :smiling3:

Done loads of decals when finished there will be over 100 decals in the cockpit alone did a bit of scratch building on the radio and turned it around as it's 180 degrees out in the kit even tamiya make big mistakes

Last night I was going to assemble the pilots seat belts but I think I must have thrown them out the other day when I had a cleaning up session oops they were the nice hgw ones  so I'll have to get some more as they did look really nice

Still trying to find info on where the wires go from the radio and the battery

More to follow soon guys

Done quite a bit in the last few says cockpit side walls well underway loads of two part decals to go they are extremely small and fiddly still got the switch boxes to detail and fit

I assembled the fuselage with the cockpit components for the first time and it all fits but boy it's tight no room for error

All comments welcome

Thanks guys there is so much more detail than 48 scale and I'm a bit of a critique of my own stuff coupled with it being probably my favorite aircraft I have to give it my all

Need a break from the cockpit just for a while so had a go at the wing gun Bays I added some more photo etch to represent the lower wing skin and the front main spar and rear spar also rear gun brackets I'll probably spray silver then tamiya yellow green then scratch up a bit not sure yet

Just painted guns satin black then drybrushed with gunmetal airbrushed the bays and gave them a wash of burnt umber next up the troughs for the ammo belts I have a choice here of kit plastic or photo etch not sure which to use yet it's down to which machine gun rounds look best once painted
