Got a start on the Dragon Panther G, and managed to get a good bit done on it, I didn't encounter any problems with  it so far, other than the gun mantlet.

I'm going to be adding some photo etch to it later, and hopefully get a load more completed on it.

very nice work on both,Tommy, looking good,as you do have one with PE,and the other without,

you kind of real need to add the grill cover,

and this got me thinking ,if you could use fly mesh as a grill cover, ? as it is still very fine mess, :/

Hi Monica thanks for that, I'm going to to adding more photo etch to the Dragon Panther, especially the grills ;)

I suppose you could add the fly mesh to use for the grills, but I think it would have to be in scale, or otherwise it would show the scale difference, and your eyes would be drawn to it.

Hi Colin glad you like it, and it's nice to have you along buddy ;)

Nice looking pair of panthers there Tommy, which one do you rate as the better kit? Some nice little detail touches as well.

Hi Colin, you need to build a tank mate, they really are interesting vehicles buddy, and they look mean ;)

Hi Scott, glad you like them mate, personally  I've found the Tamiya Panther goes together much better than its counter part, but the Dragon Panther builds into a nice looking kit.

Both have draw backs and problems, once you over come these, they really are a pleasure to build, the Dragon version does have one or two fit issue's, these being the two hull halves, I had a little filling in to do with Vallejo plastic putty, I really like this putty, it's easy to use and hardens quicker than some other plastic putties I've used in the past.

I also found one or two problems with the engine deck area, this being the engine grills, each hole(four in total) have to be made up in the same way, grid fixed into place, then a small flat piece of plastic added to close the gap, these pieces of plastic don't fit snug into the open space, therefore these had to be sanded before they would fit.

If you get carried away with the sanding, as I did :$ you then have to make good, with plastic putty, apart from that, it's building into a nice kitty ;)

Little more done on the Dragon Panther G, most of the photo etch is done on this kitty, and I'll get a start on the track guard's and the running gear.

Hope you like it so far :smiling3:

AManaged to get a little more done on the Dragon Panther G, in the way of adding the wheels and some more photo etch :o

This time the track guards were added to the kit, this part of the build proved to be a little tricky, as trying to get them fixed turned out into a small battle >

Patience and perseverance came through ;) which has given me some knowhow on what to expect next time :D  anyway, this is where it's at, hope you like it :smiling3:
