Hi everyone, just completed this little passenger plane.

It's the Airfix 1/144th one with Liveries Unlimited A4-071 decals for the Transavia scheme.
(the box decals are some fine Cartograf ones but I wanted to build a Dutch plane:tongue-out3:)
Started as a quick and simple weekend project, took a wee bit longer...:rolling:

Paints were all Vallejo Model Air, 71.001 71.046 and 71.063 for the main body the undersides and leading edges.
Cobbled together a mix of 3 parts 71.072 1 part 71.065 and 1 part of 71.275 to get the coroguard color for the upper wing panels.

Although the Airfix kit is an oldie with raised panel lines and some fit issues, just some TLC and patience will give you a nice result.
The decals are nicely printed and thin, although a bit on the stiff side so easy to break when moving around.

Thanks for looking in.
Fernando

ps. yes I forgot to add the nose weight...

OOps! Does make her a bit tail heavy. Scale 1:1 Boeing 727s had this problem also. If you didn't let the rear airstair down during maintenance operations and enough mechanics made their way to the rear of the cabin all at once, you could set her down on her tail skid ever so gently. Management frowned on the practice but we thought it great fun! T'was a bit dicey when it came time to set her back down on the nose wheel though.
It's a lovely little jet and in that scale is nicely detailed.:thumb2:
Cheers Rick H.

Very tidy build mate. I have just ordered up a load of Vallejo's latest metal airbrush paints. Looks like they have been specifically designed for planes so may be worth a look for future projects. Loads of reviews on the tinternet

Rick, great story thanks for sharing.
Steve, I'll have a look at those paints too but I just used the regular ones.
