Well I'm back on the case after nearly a year. The Airacobra is on the back bench for a while in fact it sits on the work bench so it keeps reminding me to get on with it :mad:. I don't normally have two on the go I will blame my mojo for that. Maybe swapping from one to the other will keep my enthusiasm up.

I think on the last instalments I was still working on the office and had more to add plus some weathering which is now done. There is a lot of detail which despite having a large canopy will not be that visible, but hey it's worth doing I know it's there. The extra detail is a dry fit but I will glue later today. The next instalments should be a lot quicker that's a promise.

Yep, it's great to have you back Vaughan. Looking forward to both the Aeracobra and the Dauntless.

The detail you've picked out on the Dauntless interior looks very cool. I'm going to enjoy seeing both these come together.

Cheers

Hi Vaughan

Just caught up on this one and it looks like you have done a remarkable job on this kit. I have a 1/48 dauntless but got annoyed after drilling 160 holes then one of the dive breaks broke. So it sits in my to do list if I can find replacement flaps ( plastic )

I'm on board to se what you come up with but I've never done a trumpeter and not in this scale

Watching with baited breath

Regards

Robert :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Brilliant work Vaughan. I've always liked your 'style' of build and this example is no different.

Quality stuff

I thought it might be a good idea to touch base on this one two further heart ops have delayed things somewhat the last one being a month ago. Anyway here's a very small update the main landing gear is sprayed and weathered just got to make a choice between the tires. Do I go for the Navy or Army version
