Hey lads.

Here it is all done.

Thrump F-100c Super Sabre.

A very vell detailed kit with good fit.

I just added seat belts, and replaced the stabilizor glue tabs with pins so thay coulc be "dropped" like I have seen in most pix.

The decals worried me allot, but once I got started they were easy to fit with good regester. Some micro sol sorted them out well.

Alclad airframe alluminium used , I shot 3 coats over gloss black , masekd off the "dark panels" and shot 3 more coats to lighten it. Alclad semi matt clear coat over all, a little more dull than I wanted, but I will have to live with it.

With the rainbow colors on the tail, the idea of the 'gay plane' is hard to miss...

But once I got past that part, the model took on a life of it's own, and I didn't notice anymore.

Looks good when paired with the F86 too!

That's a cracking build Theuns! Hard to believe it's 1/72!

There's definitely no subtlety about those markings so well done for a great job on the decals.

Cheers

Definately Gay pride on that plane! Might explain the pitot tube aswell LOL (some Freudism on this HUN)

I initially did not want to put the bold markings on, but having never used Trump decals I thought - OK, let's try the big band and if it goes wrong it will not matter. That went on extremely well so I thought - OK, lets see how far I can push my luck LOL

Lovely build. One of my favourite aircraft (along with the F-86).

Hi Theuns

Fabulous build and finish on both the aircraft. They make a very good pair when seen together and the markings certainly make them stand out.

2 great models that are all the more remarkable because they are 1/72.

Great stuff and gong for sure!
