Hi all, I hope don't put anyone's nose out of place by bringing this forward.
On MM we were going to do a GB marking the 100th anniversary of the end of ''The Great War, would anyone, old and new members, consider carrying this on?

I would second that, it's a very important anniversary. It would have to start on a date that would end in November.

Sounds like a good idea. Had you a specific genre in mind? I am thinking if you keep it to land based subjects it could be that there will be a GB for the RAF anniversary... Just a thought.
As for a duration. it can be start and end , if there are enough takers, at any agreed date.
@Brad9826 keep a tally of those that would join in and give me a prod if you get ten or more to participate.

Good idea Brad.

I'm in as I have a small dignified idea for a 14-18 build.

It would be a great ice breaker too.

Any subject as long as it is between 1914-18 any participating country, water, land, air, mounted, foot, tracked, wheeled, winged

I am in.

I would be interested, it's on my list for years now (initially wanted to do something WWI in 2014) but if the GB is going to be 4 months I can't make any promises regarding finishing it in time :tongue-out3:

Cheers

I agree that 'dignified' is the word for a Great War GB, and any setting would get more involved.

thanks all for replying and wanting to take it up. As said this was a GB idea from the old MM forum so i can't take any crediot for it and it just seemed right to resurrect it if poss.
I would like to keep it open to all genres and not just land as it effected so many families. Busts, figs, vignettes, dios, flight, railway, hospital , civvies , even one of our old threads was war memorials, depicting those would be nice. just a thought so that it could involve more of the other specialists on the site and not just military.

OOO, This is very tempting! I've never managed a group build, just because of time, and that's especially short at the moment!!! I will be following closely of course.

Ok, I’ll be your huckleberry......I was planning something for this GB involving actual scratchery and figures, so it will ensure I actually do it....
