Here’s a old one I’ve been working on this week. This is what I’ve got done so far. I know these old kit don’t measure up today’s standards but I enjoy building them anyway. Thanks enjoy the pics.

Got a little more done. I use a Airkit cockpit placard for cockpit put it on a piece of thin styrene and glued in place. I’m still undecided about what decals to put on the fuselage yet. Enjoy the pics. Lee

Lee.
Got here!
Very nice work, like how the silver top coat seems to bring the rivets out. :thumb2:As for the office dials........wow, must have been fiddly to fit. Do you have to glue them in or is it like a decal ?
John .

Hi Lee
You're making a fine job of this geriatric kit. There is great satisfaction in taking an old, cheap kit and making a nice model out of it.

Yak thanks for the kind words its a very fun build I’m just a old box stock builder with light detailing kinda guy And the kit was cheap when I bought it.

John going good so far thanks for watching and for the complement it’s a change to me to add after market stuff to a kit like this to upgrade and see how it turns out.its what I enjoy

Colin This is going easier than I thought in 1/72 as I’m getting older it very changing

Jim glad you found me. I know she’s a little curde but having fun with this build adding some detail parts to make it look a little convincing. Thanks for the complement

Joe thanks for the kind words and yes it is ancient but is very fun to upgrade it just to see what my results are going to be. Sometimes it don’t hurt to get off the beaten path and go back to the roots of modeling

Worked on the exhaust outlets made them out of a small scrap piece of brass then drilled some small holes in the engine cowling and place them in. I’m not like the canopy on this I may be re-ordering an aftermarket one it was very brittle and it broke and I have glued it back a couple times and I’m still not happy with it. Enjoy the progress pics

I done A lot of hand painting today the inside of the main cowling, engine plate the inside of the landing gear all painted interior green and some other odds and ends like the prop blades, engine and front edges of the fuselage we’re painted Tamiya NATO black.
