A rare bird in Canadian skies were the converted crop spraying Westland Lysander's built up from war surplus RCAF aircraft which sold for the price of the fuel in their tanks, only two made, this had to be modelled so I set about carving my own model from Basswood, ply and card, yellow is brushed Americana acrylic over a matt white artists gesso ground, ribbing is paper strips covered with lightweight tissue doped on,wheel spats are FIMO baked in the oven.
Inboard leading edge slats were fixed in the open position.
I would love to have seen these in action.
