Hello all,

I'm calling this one done. It's been an interesting build - the first time I've used an airbrush in many years, and a return to my old favorite scale.

For Geoff's D-Day GB, I've built a 1/48 Sherman Firefly from Tamiya, along with a small scene to go with it. It depicts the Sherman and its crew at rest in the days following D-Day. An elated farmer has seen the Allied troops moving into town, and has fetched a bottle of his finest red from the cellar. He approaches the first vehicle in the column, an offers it to the crew, expressing over and over:

"Bienvenue en France!"

Superbly built, painted and displayed Greg, and strangely enough, quite moving.
Well done.

Brilliant job greg , a proper little scenario . The firefly is great and the figures complement it perfectly, I just hope monsieur has got a few more bottles in the cellar or theyre only going to get a mouthful each ! Cheers tony
