This is the 1/144 double kit by Valom of the North American T6G Texan . Its a nicely moulded kit of not too many parts , two kits are included as is a tiny block of resin with aerials on . There are four decal options for German , Israeli , American and French machines . Ive started the cockpit but the insert is just two square blocks to represent the seats so Ive added seat backs and an instrument panel for the rear seat. Ill be adding control columns and painting on some belts and instrument faces too, it should be seen through the very clear canopy. Heres the sprue shots and where Im at now , cheers tony

Ive got a bit more done to the tiny texan. As promised ive painted some dials on the two Instrument Panels , as well as painting on belts on the seats and adding two control columns from stretched sprue. The lovely little engine (and I do mean little!!) has been painted with silver and a grey crankcase ,ive also tried to depict the black pushrod tubes on the cylinders . The fuselage is now glued , next is fettling the wing and tailplane to get a better fit , heres some pics cheers Tony

Undercarriage legs are now on ,and ive added a pair of scissor links from tiny strips of foil bent into a V shape. Ive also added the scoop under the cowling as this is missing on the kit and is quite a prominent feature of the T6 . The control surfaces and the back edge of the cowling have had a dark wash to define the lines but i wont be doing any of the panel lines - in this scale and this colour it would look too false , heres some pics , cheers tony

You have done this little kit proud.

I'm impressed with how you have done the canopy.

Well its done , the last few touches like the aerial (had to scratch this as i lost the tiny resin ones on the floor!) , the undercarriage doors which I replaced with plastic card as the kit ones were a bit thick, and the pitot - made from a piece of wire bent to shape , are on . Ive also cut out the landing lights in the wing leading edge and use Kristal Kleer to glaze the opening.

Its been a great little build , a nice quick kit with some nice detail and with a few enhancements and it gives a good result , heres some pics to round off the thread and I'll put some more on a Completed thread , thanks for following , cheers tonyDSCN1467 [Desktop Resolution].JPG
