Hi every one,
This Yamato and I is some ov a great love story. I bought my first 1/250 Yamato When I was only 15, and made it RC. Ten years later it still was on the shelf in the room of my best friend's younger brother. But when I asked it back, his brother had gave it away to some other friend of his, that I didn't knew. I never saw my Yamato again. Only two years ago as I was comming back to this Hobby, I was telling this sad story to a friend of mine who had A 1/200 Yamato, he kindly decided to give it to me. Some times life can be fair! Never the less seeing that beautifull Model an other friend decided to buy him self one on E bay. But after a while he decided he didn't had time to build it. So he swaped it to David, (see "FRench Builders no how" thread) Against a 1/250 Shinano. David still has the 1/200 Yamato and is willing to sell it, so if one of you is interested......
Concerning the missing P/E, you must keep in mind this model is from a very old mould, and if you want it to look fine, you better prepare to go throught lots of Scatchbuilding improovements. Offcourse all depends if you're aming for a static model or a RC one, which in that last case needs less precision in the detailing. To all of you, please excuse my poor english, remember I'm Greek and living in France, I don't have often the occasion to practice.
Ciao
