Finished this up last night. Nice kit, and I'm generally happy with the result although there were some mistakes. The real car would should be white, but I went with metallic blue as a homage to the Manta GTE I owned when I was 18.
Wow, that's very nice Bob. Lovely clean work on the interior and tons of well placed decals, although it's almost a shame to cover the paintwork with them.
I was in two minds about putting the decals on, but they were so nice (Cartograf) that I decided too in the end.
Edited to add: Jim, it was bought for me for Christmas from John. Belkits do quite a few cars. I'm not sure about all of them but certainly their Ford Escort Cosworth is a Tamiya reboxing.
That is totally splendid. Right hand drive as well.
I was ((I nearly wrote Escort boy myself, but glad I didn’t, it reads wrong)) an Escort owner. No still not sounding right, I’ll try later.
Colin, the kit comes with parts for LHD & RHD which is a nice touch. Had an Escort Mk3 myself before the Manta.
Paul, not sure but at a guess I would imagine it's an emergency engine stop?? Yes, fire extinguisher bottle behind the seat and I believe the red box with silver spout between the seats (just about visible in one of the pics) is the nozzle for it. There's also a smaller hand fire extinguisher in front of the passenger seat. I had carefully removed the molded on straps from this and replaced with PE strips, then totally forgot to paint them silver.
