Started this last year but as you all know I've been away for ages and not had any chance to do modelling or anything else.

I never started a build thread of this and as it's nearly finished i'll just post a few of the build pics with a little description.

Box art

Decided to do a little scratch building. So I added wires to the gun bay

Eduard Seatbelts

Cut the leading edge slats off. will pose them as hanging down

Cockpit all finished up with Eduard PE

Joystick control rod added

Electrical wiring added

Jumping forward a little. Just about all painted up. Just needing the undercarriage, slats, canopy and aerials

Undercarriage, canopy, gunbay covers, slats and decals added. Just needs the aerials adding now and it's complete

I have a 1/24 Hurricane to build and I am tempted to get the Typhoon. But normally I stick to 1/48 and 1/32 kits

Well, we have a 1/24 GB next year. You want to take part?

I recommend it ;)

Depends on how long we get to build. I seriously have to manage my time now due to two kids and shift work. But i'll defo try to

Very nice All, this was one of my possible Christmas presents to myself.

Ended up going with armour though!

Looking forward to seeing the finished result.

Brilliant mate. I just bought the U3 version of this by Hobbyboss in 1:48 so this is great reference for me. How is the nose weight? Was it enough to hold it down as I have heard some negative comments on this.
