I made dozens of these planks from a balsa stripper tool. These are best to go on round surfaces such as the fuselage and engine nacelles. Wings and tail surfaces get sheeting.
Wow, that is some beast.....I saw a similar sized Lancaster engines being run up (not flown) at the model engineering exhibition in Earl’s Court years ago. They had blokes hanging on to the wings to stop it taking off......quite impressive really.
Steven, really impressive. Lately I've seen some pretty convincing details on flying models. Enthusiast now don't just go for flying only but authentic detail as well.

WOW, a wingspan of 3.5m! I suppose it dismantles into transportable pieces? - just the logistics are staggering - I'm assuming you've built large scale flyers before?
