Academy Minicraft P -38j Lightning 1/48

As i am having to put my super fortress down (for the paint to cure) i thougth i would give this one ago.


I have some after market decels but i havn't decided witch one it will be, on opening the box every thing is flash free and nicley moulded.


So heres whats in the box

Here's my first pics of the cockpit under way i have tried a bit of dry brushing to put a bit of wear on the cockpit how it looks i have no idea

This is the latest update i have finished both sets of main under carradige wheels and have started on one of the tails.


The tyres on this kit are rubber with tread whitch saves some time

Looking good so far Peter. I'd be interested to see how it all goes together. I had an old Revell version which I never got round to building and sold on because of the issues getting both tails squared up properly.

Here's my next update all the body parts and wings are now together and with no problems the nose section has weight in it but this is thhe first one i have done that doesn't tail sit
