I'll follow this and see how it comes together ......... I've looked at buying this kit several times. But I hear it was "awful" to put together........

What I've built so far I would say it is definitely not a beginners kit, I had to remove what locating pins there were on the engine halves as the pins actually put the joins out of line, also you needed 30 pairs of hands to position the halves together correctly. Most items made of more than one part require a lot of sanding when joined together. That said as you can see from peters build its worth it in the end (that's assuming I manage to build it to peters standard)

Coming back to the rivet question, have you considered rivets from HiroBoy or similar? I know that will result in a whole lot of pin vice drilling, but the finish is well worth it.o_O

Hi all not done much modeling last few days, just don't have the energy to get all the stuff out, but today I've ordered some rivets for the mudguards some acorn nuts for the engine and some braided hoses for the break pipes, hope I can get on top of this virus soon its really getting me down.
