What is the best thing to seal chip board with for making diorama bases? Or is it a pointless task?

A good coat of primer will do the job an even coat of PVA or egg shell paint

I think also it will help a lot if you seal both sides. Chipboard can curl up if only treated on one side.

Good point, I always prepare mine in a frame so didnt think of that.

Yup both sides is best , even if you use ply board as well :smiling3:
