Thanks Andy. The cross, probably just showing off. These pilots do seem to like there colours. What's with the yellow cross
In the early part of WW1, a pilot might only fly of around 50hrs, before meeting his maker - not enough time for the fancy paint job to dry.I think they must have spent longer painting them than they did flying them
Thanks Allen. It will look a little strange mixed in with my RFC pc10 machines.Front row on the shelf maybe? Or on top of the telly???...Well done Sir!!!...
My pleasure. I really enjoyed this GB. I never imagined it would be so colourful.Fantastic work Colin, and thanks for joining in and making this GB possible.
Thanks Chris, I do like a dirty bird.I really do like the dirtying down you've done there
Thanks Miko. No need to be intimidated, Eduard kits are quite nice to build. This kit is an older one, so a little more work was involved, but modern Eduard, are great kits.inspiring and intimidating
Cheers Tony. It wasn't the result I wanted, but was ok.Prop looks fantastic
Cheers Doug. Cutting technology in their day.amazing machines
Brilliant picture John, thank you. Also proving, just in case no one believed me, no rigging. You can see my engine covers have been cut down, this was an early effort at controlling an over heating problem.Amazingly we have one of the few remaining original D VII's, in our little local museum
Thanks Paul.very nicely done
