My build of the Airfix 1/72 Boeing B-29 Superfortress (07001)

I removed the rivets, used Airwaves PE in the cockpit and scratch-built the radome. A set of white metal undercarriage legs were from Scale Aircraft Conversions (72082) and aftermarket wheels were from Radial Engines and Wheels 72 (72099). Decals are from the Kits-World 1/72 War Birds (KW172222) Set and I chose the scheme for "The Ancient Mariner". The particular machine was 42-65296, 883d Bombardment Squadron, 500th Bombardment Group, Isley Field, Saipan, May 45. The decals are excellent and went on without the need for setting solution.

A fantastic result for your Superfortress Dave. Removing the rivet detail has provided your model with a nice, clean finish
