Hi Ian,

The fuselage is painted. Started off with a base of 50/50 Tamiya Buff and Flat White, followed by a mixture of Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre and Raw Umber oils in a 1:1:2 ratio. I then used a paper towel to rub off the excess oil paint and create the woodgrain effect. Then afterwards i simply brushed some of the panels in a 90degree angle to have variation in the woodgrain.

It looks great Quintin. I've built a couple of Eduard WW1 planes myself and really like the kits.
