hi all frame & wheels engine started but need to. Pick up some paint for a couple of bit so its on hold for now, wheels are on hold now till I get the alclad, so just sticking bits I can together in preparation, fairing carrier on the frame is a bit flimsy no way that will survive the build!!

Busy week so far engine is just about complete only the plugs to fit, frame painted with coils in place and foot pegs have to say these are steel and well made they look awesome… and plugs ready to fit, engine build was really good to do, just the oriantation of the cylinder head looks even but the end cam bolts are slightly different took me ages to find it ( after i put it together wrong) and that meant the rocker covers were slightly out of line annoying and lucky i spotted it before it all set. Clutch is a detail up part included with the kit and looks great once assembled (is there a good way of cutting the photo etched parts) scalpel worked but not ideal. Carbs were nice to build and again included in the kit were these stunning little bell mouths, really enjoing this build

hi all, getting on really well with this build engine is in the frame good fit but why you have to connect the HT leads up in sequence beats me!!, but needs done before securing in place with screws.
swinging arm is built not finished, sprocket and chain set & exhausts put together not finished either, All good so far even the PE vent on the brake hub looks good

Ok bad news is engine is the wrong colour!! :flushed:Dilemma is do i take it out and strip it down or leave it:thinking:
i’m about 40% leave it, so looks like its coming out :anguished:
i wouldn't mind but i read the update on the paint schedule from tamiya and still painted it wrong, even crossed out the wrong codes on the plans i think i am losing it.
1 step forward 4 back

The engine will hardly be seen once the fairing is fitted, I would leave it as is.

Andy.
