Well my first real scale model truck has reached the end of the road. (The RC Tamiya thing don't count as it is not a true scale model as such.)
When all is said and done an OK build. Challenging? Yes. Building a multi part truck cab is always fun having to build an outer and an inner makes for double trouble the fun. The fit was pretty good so that helped. Although it is ment to be there I recon that the gap between the 'floating' cab and the chassis is a bit big...20230910_124832.jpg20230910_124856.jpg20230910_124938.jpg20230910_125000.jpg20230910_125009.jpg20230910_125016.jpg20230910_125048.jpg20230910_125153.jpg20230910_125156.jpg
Do it again? Yes Already two in the stash lol. Build can be seen here: https://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/ian-ms-actros-mp4-giga-space-italeri-1-24.41974/
Anyhow;
Painted with.....TAMIYA paint! The Bodywork in 'Candy' Green Pearl but not sure if Tamiya has understood the meaning of candy. This too was far to opaque to be a candy. The chassis is Pearl white. (Which needs to be over a white or silver base as I found out!) These where decanted rattle can paints. The rest is good ol' tamiya acrylic. I like their blacks. Gloss, satin and mat. Orange glass are clear orange and the 'sunroof' smoke. All thinned with Mr Hobby Self leveling thinners.

Comments are, as always, welcome.

Beautiful job, especially like the choice of body and chassis colours.
Got one in the stash which I hope will rival yours when complet Ed although planning a medium grey chassis and blue "pearl" bodywork.

Morn Boss,

Wow, I don't know much about the gap of the cab, but I do know a very well finished Merc when I see one! The decanted green color came out beautiful and the DK plates add that personal touch. Very nice rig from top to bottom Ian! Are you planning on greasing up the 5th wheel or just leaving it as new???...
