Hi ya all!

It's been a while. I finally started my Knight Rider build. As per usual it's been dragging along.

Here are some WiP pics of dashboard. Painting the individual buttons was quite a task and the colour chart had issues with the translation, with orange being the the main colour option.
Anyway, I was happy how it turned out.

Till next time.

The show goes on...

Did the interior which was a mission of its own with poorly labeled instructions and painting all the buttons and switches. Clear Orange was the only colour they offered, but a little research sorted that out. Used a wash and highlight to give the interior some depth and texture.

Thanks for watching.

Well, onto the chassis. For this car it is pretty basic and the wheels.

Looking at the upper chassis, I noticed the mounting points and opening for a light module & switch.

This got me thinking.....

The actual light module that is supplied with the Season 1 kit (I think), is about as rare as chickens teeth and quite expensive to boot.

So I looked around for an alternative, after some trial and error and dusting off my old soldering skills, I found a suitable candidate.

Now I had to figure out how I was going to mount this DIY lighting rig into the car.....

An idea , use fibre optic to take light to front of car from wherever you mount the electronics.
Thanks for the suggestion, that is the go to nowadays, but I think I'm going old school for my solution.

Anyhow, now that the base route is decided, I need to spruce up the the base a bit and got myself a number plate.

I thought that this had to have a figure of you know who as well to round it off. (started painting him)

Thanks for looking.

Ran into some issues with the paint after I dropped a still wet body!:fearful::angry:

Anyway I sanded down the damaged area and slight over did it.

Now that has to be corrected as well.

I forgot to take photo's of the rig I made for the LED's that I mounted of the lighting module posts in the chassis. Ooops!

Anyway I did take a photo of the plumbing in the base from the underside and a short video of the light in action.

OK there we go.

That is the complete kit with the "Hoff". I'll need to take neater pics of the completed kit.
