On Monday 19th January my local model club is putting on there annual competition and have asked me if I would like to take part, this came as a surprise to me as I have only been to 2 or 3 of there meets & only shown one of my builds before.

So with nothing to lose I agreed.

Below is the Categories & what I will be entering.

You're a skilled builder John, so it's no surprise to me!

They're all great, but I'd pick out the Defiant, the AC Cobra & the Arado as potential winners :smiling3:

Cheers

Some great builds there John and good luck with the comp.

I look forward to hearing how you got on, and don't forget to take your camera for some pictures of some of the kits on show once again good luck mate

Thank all for your kind comments, the show went well, the only drawback is they tell you the results by email & not on the night.

If you win you have to take the model back at the next meet to have your photo taken with ur build, email yet to arrive.

Will keep you informes.

Sorry to say Patrick the Defiant did not make the show, tried to fit the antenna on & broke the landing gear off.

At the meet there was another Arado sea plain same scale well built to, maybe not so much detail in the cockpit but it depends what the eye sees.

Well John, the only advise I could give you is take a big bag with you for all the Trophies you will collect. Great word in every subject. Derek

Well the scores are in, Desert Dio - First place, 1/144 Landing Ship - First place, 1/72 Cargo Truck - Second Place, Elite Infantryman - Second Place.

That was it, I did expect my cars to do better but that's the way it goes some times.

My PT 167 was in Second place but the club rules say you cant win first and second place.

I'll just have to try a little harder.

Till next time have fun

There would need to have been some really serious competition to keep all of those away from the prizes! Well done John, and justly deserved.
