Hi Hawklight

I have only just started to make Helicopters and have made several which turned out ok. In my loft i have a box of "Pending" Kits which are all Helicopters. Just treat the plastic kits as any other kit. Don't worry about mistakes etc. Everyone has made them . Don't have any Russian or eastern bloc but a fair few of the modern stuff from the west. Latest model bought from Huddersfield show OH-13 Coastguard in 1/48.

Good luck Pogo

Pogo, one important word of advice when building helicopter models, make the rotors removeable at the hub, this way it is much easier to store and transport your models, the helicopters also look better if you can droop the blades just like the full sized, this can be done by placing the blades in warm water, then rolling them with a small printers roller, with the blades placed on some sorbo rubber such as carpet underlay.
