Hi Ian

Thinking of adding one of these to my collection in 1/48. Heard that the new Kitty Hawk kit is supposed to be good. I'll be interested to see this 1/72 version develop. If it were me I'd do the desert version, it's certainly what my 1/48 kit would be finished in.

Whatever you go with I'm sure it will look great.

Love the cockpit detail is it a decal or hand painted?

Cheers

P

Hi Paul I'm going for the desert scheme and thanks for your vote of confidence. The cockpit detail is a bit of both a decal for the instrument panel and dry brush for the side panels with a pilot going in there wasn't any need to do a better job as it wouldn't be seen

Looking very good in paint, can I ask you what you have used?

If I may misuse your thread Ian.

@tr1ckey66 aka Paul: I have just gotten hold of the Kitty Hawk version in 1/48. If you can hang on a day or two, I'll post some whats in the box photos.

No problems Ian first I used TamiyaXF-59 ( Desert Yellow) then lightened it with a few drops Vallejo 71.028 ( Sand Yellow ) for the post shading

Hi Ian

Yay, you went with the gulf war version!

This is coming on fantastically well and I love the white rose! (I'm also from Gods own county - Pontefract originally, so just up t' road!)

The shading looks very good to me and the panel lines are nicely picked out. Can't be too far away from completion now? Really looking forward to seeing it.
