Well , the messerschmitt has paid a visit to the plastic surgeons for a nose job. Filled with Milliput it should sand up ok when its hard. Speaking of hard , i had to soak the milliput in hot water before i could cut a couple of pieces off and mix it together , it had been out in the cold shed and was like rock!!!!At least the straw intakes look ok now theyre trimmed off ,they can have a skim of filler round the edges after ive sanded the nose to shape. cheers tony EDIT: ive just looked at the first pic,is it me or can anyone see the resemblance to the schnozz of a sea harrier FAW2 ? !!!

Well after a bit if sanding the nose on the me p 1111 looks a lot better. The gun troughs have been drilled and the u/c bay has been cut out , the whole thing receiving a blast of primer so i can see which bits need a bit more fine filling.

The ta 183 has had the headrest and instrument shroud/gunsight added and is ready for the canopy I have also been knocking up a rudimentary cockpit for the horten , nothing being provided other than seats. cheers tony

Have fun, John

HI , just in case you thought these had disappeared , heres the latest bit of progress. The Horten has had the canopy fitted and all 3 have had the first colour coat of RLM 76 (xtracrylix). The Horten has had this on the upper surface as its the night fighter and the underside is all black and the me p1111 and TA 183 have had the undersides and fuselage top, sides and rudder in the same. cheers tony

That Horten is an amazing looking aircraft! Though my fave is definitely the Focke-Wulf simply coz it looks mean! Imagine seeing that in your rear mirror! Great job Tony, these kits are really coming together.

Yeah , i think its better looking than the single seat ho 229. If you look at the front ,side on, it kind of reminds me of the he 219 , with the cockpit right at the front of the aircraft. The ta 183 is a wicked looking thing too , and the messerschmitt is very much like a DH 108 swallow. Cheers tony

Progress has been a bit slow these last few weeks due to decorating commitments (DOH!) and the freezing weather keeping me out of the shed. Anyways , at last i managed to get some paint on the models and start decalling. Ive added a bit of artistic licence by giving the me p1111 and ta 183 numbers, and on the ta 183, a unit badge for jg 400. It just makes it look a bit more interesting than just the national insignia as supplied. Next steps are adding the undercarriage and other knocky off bits ,then a final matt coat and a bit of light weathering. cheers tony
