Steering the other way??

on every one of these small scale models, the steering is st to straight ahead.

Now I wanted to change the SAS Jeep I'm doing by Tamiya to have the wheels turned a little.

The axle on the front with the tie bars is all one piece and so I've modified it best way I can see at the moment, but would like to know if any of you have better ways of doing this with easier results?

What I did was to use a tiny saw blade, cut both the wheel hubs off. I then used a match, and warmed the centre piece of the tiebar attachment to the axle and gently bent it while still soft.

Then I did the same with the tie rod ends at the hubs either side.

Problem is, when you come to reattach the hubs to the axle. Obviously it's not a complete surface because I've cut them.

So I used a little superglue, and some putty to fill the gap. I'm worried it's not going to be real strong, and may well break when it's time to fit the wheels.

Input greatly received!

Sounds ok no poly caps are there between wheels and drum brakes that would put strain on the whole thing when you push the wheels on
