Hi Barry
Looks superb to me. One to be proud of. I'm not surprised it was a long build with that amount of detail.

Barry a great build with some fine detail. The canopy masking is very crisp.

Barry,
That's a great build indeed, What is that bar leading down from the back of the starboard wing in the second to last picture?

I said 'Wow' at the first picture. It's great and certainly has a big presence about it.

George Bush flew a TBF-1 off the same aircraft carrier with 'Barbara' written on it (white on portside) that also was a 'white 2'. I am not aware of him flying this one though althoug it does say Barbara III on the starboard side in yellow. So it is likely.

There is a painted on arrow on the side leading to that 'bar' I am not entirely sure what it is to be frank.

Maybe external latch for unlocking porthole to extract wounded from lower compartment? Beautiful result BTW. PaulE

The thing it points to looks like an antenna of some sort, and the panel it’s on has screws or rivets all around, so that sounds unlikely to me, but I don’t know enough about Avengers or US Navy aircraft of the era in general to speculate what it might be then.

D'you mean the port wing Scottie? If so, it looks like a "comfort tube" for the rear gunner to me!
