If you need to trim the edges of your film covering neatly then here is a simple tool to make up,all that you need is one of those single edge heavy duty razor blades and a small piece of card.

Firstly fold a piece of card around the edge of the blade so that it fits snugly against the piece that you hold, trim the edges so that it is tidy, now remove the card and halfway along the folded edge make a cut at 45 degrees cuting into the two pieces of card so you have a slot about three sixteenths of an inch wide ( so if you open the piece of card you will have a 'V' shape across the folded edge )

Now take a few drops of cyno and attach the card to the blade and clamp together with a clothes peg or bulldog clip.

How does it work ? well easy, having covered say your wing and with the pieces of film hanging over the edges, simply take the tool and make a start with the blade held at right angles, next run the sharp edge following the edges of the trailing edge etc and the material will come away evenly.

Experiment with different gap sizes between the card for different cuts, hope that you will find this easily made tool useful for anything that needs trimming.
