Today I started on the Hispano cannons and drilled the wing edges to fit it in. A little more work is needed to make the cooling vanes on the barrels from putty.

The barrels are plastic rod and the fairings are from cutip handles.

Initial puttying for the cooling vanes look pretty rough and over scaled but sanding and extending the barrel tip has made it a little better...

Now it's only to fit it into the pre drilled holes and I can proceed with painting the primer and pre shading.

Thought I'd reduce the size of the cooling vanes as previously they looked the same size as the fairing. Chucked it in my drill and used it like a lathe cutting it with files and a blade.

Looking slightly better but not perfect...acceptable enough for me.

Thanks guys,
Today found some time to fit and adjust the Hispano cannons to the wing edges before gluing them down with CA. I feel the outer guns should be a fraction further apart but I'm okay with it.

Tempted to drill out the barrels but holding back...whose going to stare down at it anyway.

Oooop's - late to the party!! But what a pleasure catching up. Some incredible work there Richard - just incredible. It would never have crossed my mind that you could extend props like that. Brilliant.

Thanks Doug.

I just couldn't leave things alone and scratched the external fuel tanks as per the reference given out of plastic tubing, thick plastic card and magic sculpt.

Once the putty has cured I will add the rib straps where each tank had three each.
This is the reference image from Scale Aircraft Modelling that I was asked to follow...

Hope it turns out nearly as good minus the same markings.
