Looking good Ron and ready for paint. Don't mind me asking about the ropes...were the crew ex US marines? Either it's good attachment points for foliage camo or quick escape or getting into the fighting compartment.
I like it too.

Cheers,
Wabble

Lol ya know Richard, I thought the same, looks like what Dad must have used at Inchon. But with the pic reference I was going by, I had assumed that that feature was indeed some nautical cargo netting. I ended up replicating it with lead wire. But - one reference I came across (same pic) identified that as "wire lattice for foliage" .. so I dunno, but in any case it's a neat detail lol !
In the process of trying to create that though, I did buy a comprehensive used lot of model ship-builders rigging strings , wires, threads, what-have-you to add to my supplies

Snuck this one in under the radar Ron ,wow you've done some miles on this ,almost seems a shame to cover it in paint ,very impressive stuff :thumb2: . Dave
Yep Dave, my thoughts exactly. I'm one of those weirdos who love to see the un-painted state of modelworks that are beyond box-stock. Glad you like it !

Lol that disembarkation rigging would have to be for Hitler Youth kids though Richard. That's a rather small AFV

Wow Ron, that's a really nice job on this kit so far!!! You gotta love one of Alfred Becker's first big projects. How does the Tamiya kit build up? Any probs? I've had two kits of this baby, one from RPM and one from Ironsides. Never built either of 'em and sold them. Then I snagged a Schmitt/Airmodel resin kit and one day, I'll get the chance to build it...

Right now, I'll just sit back and watch you build yours though. Hope all is well with you and yours, over in the colonies Buddy...

Prost
