well it’s certainly been a long long time since I’ve posted anything but I have been keeping my eye on all of you fine chaps, and watching all of the excellent excellent building that has been going on. It’s certainly been crazy for me the last several months with moving to a new state but I have found some time to do a little modeling.
the twin Schwimms are from two different kits, (Hero and Italieri). The Hero kit has plenty of detail so I didn’t have much bling to add. The Italieri needed some TLC with the PE kit from Aber and some Eduard PE… some scratch built tidbits were also added. Still a work in progress and looking at figures to add to the scene.

last pic is the new work station..also a work in progress9FA659F5-0FE7-40A5-AE0C-E063D1327FDC.jpeg28782F6B-1647-4B34-A12E-9FA6EBACCCF4.jpegAB884543-DA2C-4A26-86A7-3C847BEAB67F.jpegD41938D8-BE6E-4AA5-A51A-0C0C7C45C3B5.jpeg85293BB5-113E-4E58-96F3-A5D766ECFD15.jpeg0676FCF3-C58C-47CC-B695-E9639A6292C6.jpeg

They're looking great Joe, I agree with Garry, that's a cracking camo job. :smiling3:
I've got a very old Italeri Schwim in the stash,so very interested to see how it scrubs up,what kind of figures do you have in mind for them?
New work station looks very nice too.... Who's the character on the clock?!
Mr.Nosey, from Devon. ;)

Thanks Garry, Andy & John
not sure on the figures yet but found some warriors figures in the stash that would fit well. The clock was a gift from the wife a few years ago… think she said she found it on Amazon… just seems to be a fitting place on the workbench..lol

skills are a little rusty still John… it’s been awhile but thank you for the compliment

Nice to see you again Joe. I do like a swimming VW and now we have two. Interesting comparison between the two. Lovely paint job.

Nice VWs with flippers Joe. One with full swimming gear. The new cave would make even the latest neanderthals green with envy. You haven't lost your touch even if a bit rusty as you say.

Cheers,

Thanks everyone for checking in. I’ve dug through the stash and found some figures to add to the scene that should work well.

Really good camo painting Joe. I would think if the collar of the main blouse was turned out showing rank and insignia it would have been deep green but I will have to check with my Squadron Signal reference on SS camo smoks as they weren't like the Zeltbahn ponchos of the regular army.

Cheers,
Wabble

thanks Richard.. after a closer look at these (with my zoomie goggles) it appears that it is a mix of different smocks and uniforms with the collars separate or as part of the uniform.... there are a few smocks with hoods that appear to be over top of a uniform versus the entire jacket being part of the camouflage uniform....maybe that will give everyone a bit of a different look.. if you do happen to find any additional information...Much appreciated.
