Which camouflage pattern are you going for Steve? Let me know and I shall give you the paint list. Also the Vallejo face painting kit is excellent for the flesh tones if you haven't already got it....
I have the Vallejo set Gav, and really like it; I'm thinking of a second pattern 'Oak leaf' (Summer) as the smock shows side openings and the complexity of the pattern appeals!

For Oak Leaf pattern I would use:--

Vallejo cork brown 70.843 as the base colour
Vallejo German dark green 70.979 for large dots and jagged shapes
Vallejo German camo bright green 70.833 for overlapping the edges of the dark green.

Gavin

Thanks Gavin - I'll check my stash and replen where necessary before doing a trial piece. In the meantime I can paint the equipment and faces etc. There are two heads supplied and I'm considering drilling out the helmeted head and using the head with the 'schiffen' whilst hanging the (now empty) helmet on the belt order. Thanks again for the info!

Moving swiftly on -the basic assembly is done - absolutely perfect fit throughout, but I would attach the mag pouches first in future as they otherwise take a little negotiating! Nothing too arduous though. So, main body painted, no flesh tones or weapon yet as I still can't make up my mind as to whether to use the helmeted head - seems too good to waste! Needs touching up and a couple of coats of matt acrylic varnish, but heeere's Herman!
