Now this is messy.
But there is no desk!
lol
Did a bit this morning don't know what to do about the deck!. It was wooden but painted black anti-slip so I decided to paint the wooden colour and then black and weather it so some of the wood is showing through, what do you guys think?
Also included a messy photo just to prove its not always tidy :smiling3:
Is this the deck befor you painted it black after the brown? Looks very brown all over in the photos I'm looking at.
I see you left the soldering iron turned on. More lights?

Dont forget the areas that will show most ware on the deck are around hatches, and the deck canon. Also to the conning tower and on the CT decks a lot of ware will be present.
What do you think of those paints you got. Any good? they look OK. (but then I am apparently colour blink... lol. )

There very nice go on lovely but clean up is not too good, the paint dries in the cup far too quick

This is the deck after the brown and before the black, I was still soldering the led wires :thumb2:

Getting there but having to let everything dry fully as the glue is holding some hefty stuff together.

You can see the hole right of the periscope stowage that's where the wires were supposed to go but i glued it in place before I realised so had to make a route of my own :smiling3:

Paint this morning, I did all of the anti-fowling and yes it looks black but there is a blue/purple hue which looks really nice.
Not at all happy with the life colour paint (comes off with the masking even after 4 days so plenty cured) also clean up is a real pain and takes twice as long than any other paint. Anyway some pics of progress :smiling3:
