The matt varnish did help bring out the panels and pin wash.

Unmasked the cockpit and touched up the frame edges. Fixed the antennae.
Might need another light coat of matt varnish as some has rubbed off.

Cheers,

If there wasn't a pair of scissors there for scale,I'd swear this is 1/48 scale, the detail you've created looks sublime.

An excellent build and a brilliant paint finish... nice one Richard.. :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2:,

Excellent Richard. Those figures are very nice indeed, especially for that scale.

Thank you Gentlemen, while detail painting I knocked off the pipe and cigarette but will re-attach them after these pre-posed shots. Still the antennae wire left to do and final matt varnish.

Hope the recipient will be happy with this and finally I have a finished build for 2022. Everything else is WIP unless I count the modified Dingo.

These are the details I painted for the figures...

The deckchair canvas and the ground crew flag and chair. I also added a left ear for the pilot.

Wabble,
That is another cracking result as we have come to expect.
Thanks Scottie,
I just scratched the parachute with putty and masking tape and couldn't wait for it to harden and painted it straight away after placing it on the wing.

Should be a fraction larger but I'll leave it.

Fantastic work. Excellent composition especially.
Thanks Tim, the kit itself deserves a mention as it's quite detailed and the engraved panel lines fine and still show after a few coats of paint. It has all the right dinks and knobs plus the distinct subtle hump from the fully detailed cockpit to the tail. The moment I opened the box I was hooked and decided on adding the figures to the base. Revell has done a good job on it apart from the clear parts that had some imperfections within the plastic itself.
Final pictures will come as soon as I attach the aerial wire.

Cheers,
Richard aka Wabble

Colin, I know a few German words too...telefunken, grundig, mercedes and broken hymen. :smiling6: Thanks, the details come with the kit, I only painted it.

Cheers,
Wabble
In past employment I used a piece of test equipment to test submarine repeaters, the thing was, the front panel was in German, and so was the instruction book. Oh how we laughed....
