Ian, hope the pain control works and you can find some relief in the modeling. Agree with the comments from Tim and Jim.

Ian,
Keep the models etc put them to one side and you may just get the steam up to even glue two parts together and when you are watching the raindrops racing down the window you will wonder why you got rid of all that stuff taking up room- do what you can when you can, there is no time limit to your work.
As for the illness, we cannot visualise what it is like if we do not have the same, but you do what you want, it is your time now, rob a bank or dance naked in the street you will have our support, and if you need someone to shout at - you know where we are.
Mike.

Not a waste of time at all Ian. Glad you're putting in the hours on a kit. If it gets your mind off the situation and pain then have fun and may you continue with building as long as you can. Set your goal at every assembly even if its just putting two pieces together.

Ian, I'm joining the other members' comments: spending our time sustaining another fellow modeller is no waste of time.
Go on modelling at your own pace and enjoy it. As Michael (Scratchbuilder) said, in case of need you know where we are.
