HMS King George V - 1/350 Tamiya

Well for better or worse here is my second attempt at a 1/350 model, I'm going to call this finished; have tried to portray the KGV in an Atlantic gale with the sea coming from the starboard forward direction. Have tried to show the water as a cold blue/grey in a cloudy day.

The build can be found here http://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/hms-king-george-v-1-350-tamiya.28028/

Hope you like the photos.

What a terrific model, coupled with one great sea.....Top work Derek.

It's been a pleasure to follow this KG5 build.

Also thank you for sharing, not only the pictures, but all the helpful tips, pitfalls and suggestions which you have passed on during the construction of this ship.

Beautifully done Derek. Enjoyed watching HMS King George V come together in the build thread. The final result is a fantastic looking ship in a wonderfully made sea setting. Awesome work.

Wow all that blood sweat and glue paid off in the end. Fantastic looking model, even in grey plastic she was looking good but she has finally come alive a great setting for a great ship i would say "well done that man" this model should be kept in a glass case in a museum somewhere. I have followed the build from the start and will still be using it for reference when i finally get back to building my pow cheers for keeping me occupied looking forward to your next build already Dave

Great work Derek I can almost hear the roar of the wind and the crashing of the waves as KGV forges ahead into the storm.
