You mean that a kit can be built OOB ?!?! LOL
OK I admit I think I have done one or two. Other than that just about every thing I have built has has some form of add on. From changing poorly moulded rails or frames with brass rod, to the full blown there is a bit of the original kit in there somewhere....
Some old kits do well from a cockpit or even just a bang seat and harness, which are things that are often badly missing any detail.
I have done a few conversions along the way as well, (some of which can now be bought as a kit now!) But as for buying a resin add on set just because the kit has seven rivets and the real thing had five or eight.............nope-
Still kits are getting better and the detail is right up there where it should be so the new tool kits get the minimal add ons.
So that would be a yes.
