Ok, enough for today.
The cockpit is in and the nose section attached. Put in the nose undercarriage and door so it sits on its three legs tonight
I wanted to get the canopy sorted before I went to bed as it has a seam line running the full length on top of the canopy which has to be sanded off and re polished. I have done this just once before but cannot remember which kit, might have been a 1/48 Typhoon.
Anyway, tried to take pictures and failed but here are the canopy component parts all of white parts need to be black and attached to the clear part
So, heart in mouth, the canopy was sanded, or at least the seam line was, then polished using a polishing sponge. This was followed by 12000 micro mesh followed by polishing compound and it worked
It has now been dipped in Future and is sat on a piece of kitchen towel to wick off the excess and covered by a plastic box to protect from dust.
So that's it for now. Next job will be to make it white again
Many thanks for all your supportive comments, it really does help
