Congressional medal of honour winner, that’s on my first post....actually most decorated soldier....won everything the US army gave out.
Oh, and he wasn’t actually in Shane, that was Alan Lad :flushed::flushed::flushed:

Sorry Tim, you did say. Actually, America's most decorated soldier of the Second World War. 'Red Badge of Courage' is of course John Huston's mangled (by the studio) version of the great Stephen Crane novel.

This was more incredible than the “little ships”. Over the period of the evacuation the railways transported 350,000 troops and 50,000 evacuated children. 650 trains were used, with no derailments or failures, and all train movements were by word of mouth as no plan existed.
